Introduction
StorySpark AI ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ("App").
Data Collection
StorySpark AI does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
- All story data (titles, text, pages, illustrations) is stored locally on your device only
- We do not have access to your stories or personal data
- No user accounts or login required
- No data is transmitted to our servers
- Story generation uses third-party AI services (Cloudflare Workers AI or Hugging Face API) - see Third-Party Services below
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
StorySpark AI uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect information for ad personalization and measurement purposes, including:
- Device identifiers (such as advertising ID)
- App usage data
- Location data (approximate)
- Advertising data

You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking on iOS).
AI Image Generation Services
StorySpark AI uses third-party AI services to generate story illustrations:
- Cloudflare Workers AI: When you use Cloudflare for image generation, your story text (prompts) are sent to Cloudflare's API to generate images. Review Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Hugging Face API: When you use Hugging Face for image generation, your story text (prompts) are sent to Hugging Face's API. Review Hugging Face's Privacy Policy.
Note: Only the story text/prompts needed for image generation are sent to these services. Generated images are downloaded and stored locally on your device. We do not store or have access to your story content.
Data Storage
- All app data (stories, pages, images, settings) is stored locally on your device using iOS Core Data and UserDefaults
- No data is transmitted to our servers (except ad requests handled by AdMob and image generation requests to third-party AI services)
- Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all stored data
- We recommend backing up your device if you want to preserve your stories
Children's Privacy
StorySpark AI is designed for creating children's stories. We take children's privacy seriously:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
- All data is stored locally on the device
- No user accounts or registration required
- Parents can enable "Kids Mode" (Limit Ads) in Settings to reduce ad exposure
- We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) requirements
Your Rights
- You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app
- No account or login required - complete control over your data
- You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings
- You can disable image generation features if you prefer not to use third-party AI services
- All your stories remain on your device and are never shared with us
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data:
- All data is stored locally using iOS's secure Core Data framework
- No data transmission to our servers (except as described in Third-Party Services)
- API credentials (if configured) are stored securely in iOS UserDefaults
Important: If you configure custom API credentials in Settings, these are stored locally on your device. Never share your API credentials with others.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
